Supporting Cheerleading at Alan C. Pope High School — Home of the Greyhounds
Est. in support of Pope High School • Founded 1987 • Cobb County, Georgia
We are the booster organization behind Pope High School cheer — football sidelines, competition mats, and everything in between. Parents, coaches, and community keeping a proud tradition strong since the school opened its doors.
Pope Cheerleading Association, Inc. (EIN 01-0727989) is a Georgia nonprofit corporation recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity under section 509(a)(2), effective August 15, 2025 (determination July 30, 2026).
Like many great school traditions, ours runs on volunteers. Each season, parents step up — squad representatives, photographers, mini-camp helpers, Homecoming and Senior-week crews — so our athletes can focus on what they do best: leading the Greyhound crowd.
Determination reinstated under Revenue Procedure 2014-11, retroactive to the date of revocation.
From Friday-night lights to the competition floor, the Association stands behind every squad.
Varsity and JV game-day cheer — uniforms, travel, and Friday-night traditions under the lights.
JV and Varsity competition teams — choreography, music, entry fees, and championship runs.
Mini-camps for future Greyhounds, clinics, and outreach that grow the program year after year.
Parents sign up for at least six opportunities a season — reps, photos, events, and more.
Cheer, chant, and dance — jumps, tumbling, stunting, motion technique, and vocal projection, judged with spirit and heart.
Homecoming, Senior week, and the rituals that make cheering for Pope so special for our girls.
Navy, Carolina blue, and white — worn with pride in Marietta since 1987.
